About Insta-Editor
An independent site with free Instagram tools since 2021, rebuilt in 2026 with tools of our own.
Insta-Editor is an independent website with free tools for people who post on Instagram. It started in 2021 as a simple online photo editor and grew into a set of tools for editing, design, text, downloads and profile statistics. In 2026 we rebuilt the whole site with tools of our own: a new photo editor, collage and template makers, video converters, and lookup tools that tell you clearly what they can and cannot do.
Insta-Editor is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
How we build the tools
- Your photos stay with you. Editing, design and conversion run in your browser. Files are not uploaded to our server.
- No accounts. You do not sign up, and we never ask for your Instagram password.
- Honest limits. Our profile tools work with public information only. We do not promise access to private accounts, and we do not sell followers or likes, because both would break Instagram's rules and your trust.
- Sources for facts. When a page gives a size, a limit or a rule, it links to Instagram's or Meta's own help pages and says when we checked them.
- Phones first. Most Instagram posts are made on a phone, so every tool is designed to work on a small screen.
Why it is free
The site is paid for by the ads you see around the content. There is no premium plan, no watermark and no limit on editing. The only limits are on Instagram lookups, which cost us money for each request; a fair hourly and daily limit per visitor keeps them free for everyone. Ads never appear inside the tools themselves. How data is handled is explained in the privacy policy.
What you will not find here
Many sites in this space make promises they cannot keep: private profile viewers, free followers, secret story viewers that need your login. They earn money from surveys, fake downloads or stolen accounts. We decided early not to compete on those promises. When a search for a tool is based on something impossible, the page says so plainly and points to what does work, even if that means a shorter visit. We would rather you trust the tools you come back to.
Get in touch
Feedback shapes what we build next. If something does not work, a tool is missing, or a page has a mistake, write to us through the contact form. Answers to common questions are in the FAQ, and the guides explain sizes, timing, engagement and the rules for downloading.
